CENTRAL HIGHLANDS

The Central Highlands of Vietnam, also known as Tây Nguyên, is a region of stunning natural beauty and cultural diversity. It covers five provinces: Đắk Lắk, Đắk Nông, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, and Lâm Đồng. The region is home to ethnic minority groups, such as the Bahnar, the Ede, the Jarai, and the Mnong, who live in traditional stilt house and practice their own customs and rituals. The region also boasts rich biodiversity, with forests, waterfalls, lakes, and mountains. The Central Highlands is famous for its coffee production, as well as other crops such as pepper, cacao, rubber, and cashew. The region has a cooler and drier climate than the coastal areas, with an average altitude of 500–600 m.
